Principal's Message

Dear Borrego Springs High School Students, Staff, and Parents,

I can not believe that we are already a quarter of the way through the school year. You should be receiving quarter grades in the mail by 11/8/2019. If you did not receive grades please check with the office.

Football and volleyball season has come to an end and I’d like to congratulate all our players for working hard and completing a great season. A special thank you to all of our coaches who put in countless hours or practice, tutoring and encouragement with all their players.

Every year we are growing in our course offerings for our students. This year we are excited to offer Music Appreciation, AP Calculus, AP Literature and Composition, Engineering, and Interpretive Hosting.

I would like to remind everyone of our mission statement:
As a small school and caring community, we work together to provide every single student a diverse and academically rich education. We aspire to produce graduates who have their own visions for the future, armed with strong values and the tools for success in college, career, family and community life.

I truly believe that our students have so much opportunity to thrive and grow in our school district. Our small community and teachers who know all the students, strive to give each individual child a rich education. As well as social and emotional support to help them become successful in college, career, family, and community life.

Parents, we always encourage you to be in contact with the teachers if you ever have any questions or concerns, they are more than happy to meet and speak with you and have translators available if needed. Our student success is a priority for everyone. Parents, we are also always looking for volunteers to be on School Site Council.

Students, I encourage you all to be advocates for yourself and take the responsibility to lead your education to where you see yourself in the future. Remember, you have a strong support system of staff and community members behind you wanting you to succeed.

Remember Borrego students achieve more with Borrego PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Empathy.

Thank You,
Victoria Baay, M.Ed.
